Airs - Bulls 84-67 No shocking result in a game when leader Airs (0-0) beat 6th ranked Bulls (7-6) in New Plymouth 84-67 on Wednesday. Airs outrebounded Bulls 45-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Javonte Douglas (203-1992, college: Montevallo) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import swingman Anthony Hilliard (195-1986, college: ECSU) accounted for 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. The former international guard Corey Webster (188-1988, college: Lambuth) came up with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Kael Robinson (198-2002, college: Rocky Mountain) added 18 points and 4 steals respectively for Bulls in the defeat. Four Bulls players scored in double figures. Airs maintains th place with 0-0 record. Loser Bulls dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Hawks. Airs will meet Rams (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bulls will play against Hawks and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Bulls forced 20 Jets turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Corey Webster (188-1988, college: Lambuth) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!) and 6 assists. Power forward Anzac Rissetto (208-2001, college: Charlotte) accounted for 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Four Bulls players scored in double figures. American-Jordanian forward Zane Najdawi (201-1996, college: Citadel) came up with 28 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Robert Crawford (198-1990, college: Cent Arkansas) added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Jets in the defeat. Jets' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bulls moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hawks. Loser Jets keep the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Saints. Bulls will meet at home Hawks (#5) in the next round. Jets will play against Nuggets in Dunedin and it may be a tough game between close rivals. American power forward Trey Mourning (206-1996, college: Georgetown, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Jarrod West (182-1999, college: Louisville) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 assists for the winners. Giants' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized American guard Mojave King (196-2002) answered with 22 points and the former international forward Brayden Inger (203-1999) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sharks. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Sharks at the other side stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. It was an exceptional evening for Australian forward Xavier Cooks (203-1995, college: Winthrop) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks. American forward Reggie Upshaw Jr. (203-1995, college: MTSU) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Five Saints players scored in double figures. American guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) came up with 27 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Keith Williams (196-1998, college: WKU) added 27 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for Nuggets in the defeat. Defending champion moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Jets. Nuggets lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Rams. Saints will meet at home higher ranked Hawks (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nuggets will play against Jets and hope to secure a win. They outrebounded Huskies 48-35 including 36 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Mike Karena (208-1993, college: Wright St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds. American Matthew Moyer (203-1997, college: GWU) accounted for 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. The former international forward Robert Loe (211-1991, college: St.Louis) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and guard Dontae Nance (190-2005) added 24 points and 4 assists respectively for Huskies in the defeat. American forward Tajuan Agee (206-1997, college: Iona) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and the former international forward Hyrum Harris (198-1996, college: Umpqua CC) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Hawks players scored in double figures. Nuggets moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Rams. Hawks lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with six games lost.
